[코리아지엘에스~해상운송.항공운송] 민주화와 자유의 소중함과 감사함

어제는 어느덧 광주민주화운동 41주년이었다.
1980년은 초등학교 6학년, 열두살 때였고, 광주에서 시위가 일어날 때, 거의 한 동안 TV가 나오지 않았고, 무슨 일이 일어났는지 전혀 몰랐다.
조작된 유언비어만이 있었고, 고등학교 3학생일 때, 고시원에서 같이 생활했던 대학생 형들이 진실을 얘기해주었고, 재수할 때 관련 책을 읽으면서 실체를 보다 자세히 알게 되었다.
이 광주민주화운동이 없었다면, 한국사회는 어땠을까?
과연 민주화가 가능했을까?

많은 시민들과 학생들의 숭고한 문제의식, 헌신,  민주화와 자유를 위한 투쟁 덕분에 현재의 대한민국이 존재하고, 민주주의와 자유를 누리고 있다.

미얀마를 보면, 어제의 대한민국을 보고 있다.
너무나 비슷하다.
군부, 대대적인 폭력적 진압, 사살, 민주화와 자유를 위한 시민들의 저항과 투쟁 등등.

세계가 방관하지 말고, 미얀마의 민주화와 자유를 회복하고 평화를 하루 빨리 되찾을 수 있도록 순수하게 도와 주어야 할 것이다.

Democratization Movement

Yesterday was the 41st May 18 Gwangju Democratization Movement Anniversary.
The May 18 Democratic Uprising was a popular movement in the city of Gwangju, South Korea, from May 18 to 27, 1980.
Military General Chun Du-hwan declared martial law to crack down on pro-democracy protests.
This fucking guy came to power as Korean President in 1981.
While ordinary citizens and students were demonstrating against the martial law government, they were killed, raped, and beaten by government troops, special forces, in particular.
Hundreds of people were killed and many people were missing at that time.
​The Korea's democracy came from this priceless movement.

Look at Myanmar.
The Myanmarese people are staging strenuous protests against the military junta to restore democracy and freedom.
It's just like what happened to Gwanju in South Korea a little more than four decades ago.

The world and Korea must not wait and see the terrible situation in the Southeastern country.

Korea is sending a strong support to the people of Myanmar in the fight for what they want to get and pray that freedom and peace will be coming to the great Myanmarese.
